Diamond pattern painted wood floor. If you start with a large template like this for a project it s easier to picture the overall look of the pattern in the space. When i saw that huge expanse of white floor and how your eye was drawn to every tiny imperfection in the wood of which there were many i decided a pattern was the way to go. I wanted something classic so i went with a diamond checkerboard pattern. Next we added little pieces of frogtape at all the edges to see how the flowers should be placed on the floor.
A solid color. The porch floor is done and i have officially moved my furniture out there as of saturday. Paint diamond pattern on wood floor using a 4 wide paint brush work in the direction of the grain and apply two coats of the darker paint to the inside of the diamond patterns. After patching and sanding the porch floor i primed it using a latex interior exterior primer.
Don t skimp on the quality of brush you buy. In the meantime i m sharing how i painted diamonds on the floor.
