Bad Marble Seams

Quartz countertop seam at the sink.
Bad marble seams. Unfortunately it s not always possible to do an in. Honestly no one likes seams in their countertop. If granite slab edges do not happen to meet at a kitchen fixture builders and contractors often put them in areas that may be covered up during typical use such as near a stove or a corner ideal for a dish rack or microwave. Make sure once the seam has been redone that you or your fabricator seal the countertop really well.
If sanded too much in one area. A good example of good seam work would be the fabricator who only uses mitered edges for corners as it makes them look nearly seamless. Simply mentioning it is enough to cause some to cringe. Obvious gaps and sudden breaks in the patterns of the stone can be distracting at the very least.
There s going to be a seam in my new beautiful gleaming countertop. Bad seams can be very unsightly. Seams are typically hidden in places where they would be less noticeable such as next to a sink or refrigerator. Knowing the difference in application and use is a major advantage for a stone provider as it makes all the difference between an ok job and a great one.
Your feelings are understandable.
